Get to know me / What's F1 (Post#1)

    I'm Julián López, a teen who basically lives in the world of Formula One. I'm currently obsessed with Formula One merchandise, owning many t-shirts, caps, and toy cars. Currently, my favorite team is Mercedes Petronas AMG, and my favorite driver is Lando Norris. My favorite race is the Las Vegas Grand Prix, which is one of the three races in the United States.

    Formula One is the most famous motorsport in the world. The 2026 season has twenty-two drivers and eleven teams (Audi, McLaren, Mercedes Petronas AMG, Oracle Red Bull Racing, Haas, Williams, Ferrari HP, Cadillac, Alpine, Aston Martin Aramco, and Visa Cash App Racing Bulls). There are 24 races in the 2026 season, which starts on March 8 in Melbourne, Australia. This year, we have two new teams, Audi (replacing Kick Sauber), and for the first time in Formula One history, an eleventh team: Cadillac. Racing Bulls has a new driver, Arvid Linblad (replacing Isaak Hadjar). Hadjar, on the other hand, will replace Tsunoda on the Oracle Red Bull team, leaving Tsunoda out of the 2026 season. The Audi team will take the drivers left by Kick Sauber (Gabriel Bortoleto and Nico Hulkenberg), while Cadillac will have Sergio "Checo" Pérez and Valtteri Bottas, two veterans in this famous sport.

    As of January 23, Red Bull, Racing Bulls, Haas, Audi, Mercedes, Ferrari, and Alpine have all released their car design for the 2026 season. Williams will have their car reveal on February 3, Cadillac will show the car design on February 8 on the Super Bowl, and finalizing with Aston Martin and McLaren showing their car design on February 9. People have mixed reactions, but right now, my favorite car reveal has been the Mercedes one; my least favorite is the Audi car, which really looks like a battery.

    I have many obsessions, but my Formula One obsession is out of this world. This F1 season will be historic, since the grid, cars, and races will change.      Welcome   again; we are only 5 days as of march 2 (this Sunday!) for the Formula One 2026 season to start, and people are getting ready their alarms and their popcorn. The practice test races have already started and as usual Oracle Red Bull, Mercedes, and Ferrari have very fast cars. Since last post, we have already seen every car design and each sponsor for each team. The Car Design of every team in F1     Now that I have seen every car design, I have to say that Cadillac and Mercedes has the best design, while Aston Martin and Audi were my least favorite designs simply because they are so plain and so basic. This years photoshoot was heavily criticized because it literally was in a storage garage with little detail compared to last year’s photoshoot. Haas Announces Jack Doohan as Reserve Driver for the 2026 Formula One Season

     Haas announces Jack Doohan as its reserve driver for the 2026 Formula One season, adding valuable experience to the team ahead of the new regulations era. The Australian joins after several years with Alpine, where he rose through the Alpine Academy following a strong junior career, including second place in the 2021 FIA Formula 3 Championship. Doohan competed in Formula 2 before making his Formula One race debut with Alpine in 2025, starting multiple Grands Prix. In his new role, Doohan will support Haas with simulator duties, car development, and trackside operations, while remaining ready to step into a race seat if required.      Jack Doohan: “I would like to thank the team for giving me the opportunity to grow and take on the great challenge of 2026 together.”
